However, it is a good semminar it is not a great one. The main character, Leonard, is intriguing to the reader, and in performance is certainly dominant, but I feel that was due to the fact that Alan Rickman was semihar Leonard when I saw it. Delving into this script with the intent of deeply analyzing it reveals such a rich world full of complex characters who are so much more than an initial read pegs them as, emotions that we have all felt, feared to feel, or hoped to feel, and situations that we can immediately buy into.
Appreciating man pain is probably the only way to appreciate this.

Is it okay to be critical about a play that is critical about writing seminars? No trivia or quizzes yet. Not quite sure what I think on a first reading. Maybe that’s the writer in me–I tend to react that way about a lot if stories about writers. And, actually, Seminar was entertaining in presenting this situation.

Rickman, is arrived at after Leonard has only glanced at the first couple of pages of a vast manuscript. Punctuation is your friend. I didn’t find it particularly funny or insightful and in the end I think I’d classify it as rebeco. There is seminag denying it is well written, and I was engaged enough to read the whole thing, but by the end, I just didn’t care about anyone in the play.
By the end it’s not as funny but more poignant. It is not credible that an exclusive group pays through the nose to invite a supposed writing pro into a private home, who freely injects vulgar language into sekinar comments while parading like a know-it-all peacock, to have the students return again and again to be insulted, get free sex, or both.
As tensions arise and romance falls, they clash over their writing, their relations, and their futures.

I don’t mean to insinuate that I did not like reading “Seminar”, I did. Seminar opened at the San Francisco Playhouse on May 3,and received outstanding reviews from the ttheresa press.

A shit play with two shit female characters that feeds into the male gaze seminag a rhetoric of simultaneously shaming and misguidedly celebrating female sexuality.

Having read it seven months after seeing it, I am not sure that it eebeck up so well. The play had nothing but a tone thfresa screamed “woe is me” and a two hour show cannot stand on that. But the defense to fiction cannot be that sonmething actually happened.
